Ease of skinning
These components can be skinned by simply dragging and dropping skins into the project library. The skins can then be fully edited to fit your needs. Either use the skins that are included in with the product, or create your own reusable skins. Three skins are also included with your download.
Ease of styling
These components can be styled either in the component inspector or through ActionScript. Both methods are fully explained in the user guide and API documentation. Your download will also include several demo files.
Size and speed
The Bit Components weigh about 1/3 the size of their Macromedia V2 equivalents. The components are based on the MovieClip object rather than the UIComponent/UIObject objects, so the components also initialize and function faster. All of these components, together in one file, weigh under 60Kb. The fact that the components are light weight, means that they are ideal both for web pages as well as large web applications.
Mouse interactivity
Some of these components include mouse wheel support, when published for Flash Player 7 (e.g: scrollbars, sliders, knob).
