XML and ActionScript Controlled
Dynamically update the calendar and define events or recurring events using an external XML file or through ActionScript. Events can also be queried using ActionScript.
ActionScript Events
Includes ActionScript events for onDateClick, onDateOver and onDateOut.
Display Recurring Events
Recurring events can easily be defined when using the XML option. For example, a birthday or anniversary can be defined to occur every year on the same day. A meeting can be defined to occur every third Thursday of every month or perhaps on the 1st of every month. The recurring event pattern can be set in the XML as you please so an event may be defined to occur every second month or once every 3 years, etc...
Flexible Display Options
The following options can be set as you wish: Initial date (either a preset date or even the current date), multiple selection of dates.
Custom Day and Month Names
Define your own names for the days and months in any language. You can also select the number of letters in the day name to display.
Choice of First Day of Week
Select the first day of the week as you please. For example, you may want to week to start on Sunday or Monday.
Fully Skinnable and Customizable
The xmlCalendar is easy to customize and can be fully skinned to suit your desired look. Choose the range of dates to be displayed or enabled. You can also choose to hide the month/year and day names. The component can also be used at any size that you wish. You may also add your own button to advance the calendar by year only.
Custom Event Icons
Define your own icons for each event. For example, birthdays, meetings etc... Each icon can be skinned for its own up, over, selected and disabled positions.
Automatic Date Calculations
Choose to enter the actual date or enter, for example, -1 for yesterday, 1 for tomorrow or 3 for three days time.
Range Control
Set the range of dates to make visible and active.
